Following Thursday's election victory, I thought it would be good to wish everybody a happy Christmas in Catalan.

But who was it a victory for?

For Spain, I doubt it, the country now has a terrible reputation overseas. For the Catalans, hardly, it seems none of them are quite sure what they have voted for (apart from not declaring independence).

As for the EU, I don't think they'll be worried about any other small would-be
independent states trying to follow suit.
