Jac o' the North, said...

One of the great things about Scotland is the interconnectedness of the political with the artistic, the sporting, the media and other aspects of national life. Something totally absent from Wales, certainly in English.

Because Scottishness and pride in Scottish institutions and identity is both normal and ubiquitous it makes the SNP look a natural part of the bigger picture. Whereas Plaid Cymru too often appears to be an 'outsider', a discordant voice unrepresentative of Welsh life.
